*VENUE change* -- In order to accomodate all of our guests, we have moved the Toy Drive to the LARGER Cafe Asia in ARLINGTON, VA next to the Rosslyn Metro station (Blue and Orange Line). This year we encourage everyone to come early for dinner at Cafe Asia and will be offering a 20% discount on your entire bill when you mention Toy Drive 2011.
This year, in lieu of toys, we are asking for a minimum $10 donation or a gift card, e.g. Toys R Us, Best Buy.
Dear Friends,
The Sumil Shah Foundation would like to invite you to the 11th Annual Toy Drive. We are very excited to have it at Cafe Asia in ARLINGTON this year and hope to make this year the best year ever! We are raising money and for area children and for some of the same organizations we have supported in the past such as the Georgetown Kids Mobile Medical clinic, Holy Cross Hospital and the Washington Adventist Hospital.
In the spirit of giving and sharing this holiday season we are supporting three newer organizations to the foundation. The Hospital for Hope (www.hospitalforhope.org), SOS Childrens Villages (www.sos-childrensvillages.org) and Prajwala (www.prajwalaindia.com). We have also made a five year commitment to support three schools/year through Ekal Vidyalaya! (www.ekaldc.org)
Additionally we have gotten requests from many individuals that want to send in checks who cannot attend in person. If you would like to, please make out your check to the Sumil Shah Foundation. Please send them to the address below:
